Dear Black Voice News reader, my name is Esther Gatica, and I am happy to share this month’s IE Arts and Culture Newsletter. March is recognized as Women’s History Month in the United States, honoring the contributions of women to history, culture, and society. In addition, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th.

Did you know that the annual, month-long observance began in 1987 following a proclamation by Congress, evolving from a local "Women's History Week" in California in 1978?

Make sure to plan a fun day at any of the listed events below and to uplift the amazing women in your life. We at Black Voice News definitely appreciate you!

This month, I want to highlight the amazing “Mayors Ball for the Arts” by our Riverside Mayor Patricia Dawn-Lockson, and also a conversation at the end of the month with our Publisher, Dr. Paulette Brown Hinds. Outstanding women achieving innovative change in our Inland Empire Region.
